Over 800 people gathered in the bandstand in Kingswood Park on a mild November evening, many with colourful lanterns, fairylights and more. Sam Eason serenaded us as the crowd assembled and then Bloco B samba band led us on a lively parade around the park. A surprise lantern addition, in the form of a large elephant, carried by four of the local residents who had helped made it, led the parade behind the band. There was hot chocolate, donuts, crepes and hot dogs to snack on and the park's trees were lit in a fabulous rainbow of light. What an evening!

A wonderful evening at the Lantern Parade
