Works start on Kingswood Park amphitheatre

Works started this week on remodelling the amphitheatre which will make a more accessible and inclusive performance and audience space. More comfortable tiered seating will be constructed, with landscaped flower beds providing added colour to this vibrant new area.
This is the first phase of the planned improvement works to the park which will also see a new toilet facility built, including a changing places room and accessible toilet. There will also be a dedicated space for a mobile cafe and a refillable drinking water station. This phase is expected to be completed by Christmas 2026. The rest of the park will remain open and community events will continue to run while the works are taking place.

The £1.5m contract is being delivered by a local family-run firm KP Wilton & Son Ltd. These works are funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and South Gloucestershire Council.
