Community Garden - Gardening Group

Wednesdays from 25th February 2026

10-12noon

Community Garden - a group waving as they plant fruit trees

A gentle gardening group to grow flowers and vegetables for the new community garden. A sociable relaxing group for all abilities and levels of skill. Group led by a professional gardener and wellbeing practitioner. Entirely free, all equipment, materials, and refreshments provided.

This is Kingswood's new community garden, just built by volunteers last year, and we are very much looking forward to filling the new beds and polytunnel with an abundance of flowers and vegetables. Come get involved and take your share of the harvest.

We are working at making this garden as accessible as possible for people with limited mobility, the raised beds have been designed so that they can be accessed by wheelchairs, can be attended to stood up or sat down on the wide ledges. The picnic tables are wheelchair accessible as well. We are however, still working on making the floor more manageable for wheelchairs - but this is a work in progress. We will be laying matting down from the gate directly on Hollow Road by the maintenance hut and into the polytunnel by Spring, and would welcome any feedback from disabled users around how we can improve the accessibility of the garden - please let us know if there are steps we can take that would help you.

Weekly gardening group starting Wednesday 25th February 10-12noon.

Location

Meet in the polytunnel/indoor growing area inside the community garden - alongside Hollow Road
